Meeting Description:

The Big Equation: Solving the Construction Workforce Pipeline Challenges in Arizona (and beyond?)

How are new buildings constructed, roadways repaired, or civil infrastructure improved if there is no workforce to do it?  How do we create a workforce in today’s ever changing world?  Workforce development is one of the biggest issues impacting the construction industry. The workforce continues to dwindle as many individuals are retiring and fewer are entering the industry. Congress, professional associations, trades groups, education providers and construction companies are seeking to address the issue as the industry needs a robust pipeline of talented, diverse, and skilled workforce at all levels. Is there more that can be done?

Please join us for a panel conversation about the topic of workforce development in Arizona. Panelists have been invited to share how a reduced workforce is impacting our industry.  The audience will be invited to join the discussion on the root causes of the workforce development problem and share ideas on how to solve the “big equation” to create a robust pipeline of construction industry workers.
