Wylie Bearup - EAB Member

Wylie Bearup, PE, PhD, is Street Transportation Director/City Engineer for the City of Phoenix. He joined the City of Phoenix in December 1999 upon retiring from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers after 24 years of service. Wylie also serves as the Industry Co-Chair for the ACE Project Delivery Method Task Force.

As Street Transportation Director Wylie is responsible for supervising a staff of 705 employees with an annual operating budget of $94.5 million and a five-year capital construction budget of $614 million. As City Engineer he is responsible for overseeing the selection of architects, engineers, and contractors to execute the City’s 5-year $4 billion Capital Improvement program.
