Tauny Woo - EAB Member
Ms. Tauny Woo is the Chief of Engineering and Programs at Luke Air Force Base, AZ. Tauny has 20 years of experience in the facility design and construction industry. Her experience has been in planning, programming, design, and construction of capital projects, and renovations, repair of all types of facilities. Tauny has served in various positions that include overseeing operations and maintenance, safety, procurement, GIS, and utility systems. Tauny Woo graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and has a Masters degree in Public Administration. She has also attended the USAF Air Warfare College. She worked for 12 years with the Department of Defense at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas and at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, Japan, as a Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Chief, Chief of Design and Construction, Chief of Planning, Programming, and Construction, and the Deputy Base Civil Engineer. Tauny was the Chief Engineer for the VA Medical Center in Phoenix for 2 years, and in 2005, Tauny joined the City of Phoenix Engineering and Architectural Services Department where she served as the Deputy City Engineer, Assistant City Engineer, and City Engineer. Tauny joined Luke Air Force Base in February 2011 to become the Chief of Engineering and Programs. She was honored with the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Federal Engineer of the Year Award in 2000, and recognized as the Associated Minority Contractors of America (AMCA) Minority Advocate of the Year in 2008.
