A look at the ARRA from the view point of the City of Phoenix including transportation funding distribution, proposed projects, and next steps. An update on projects for Maricopa County Facilities Management including submissions, the current stimulus plan, projections, and difficulties. A report of the Arizona construction market including a review of annual project, labor, and material escalations; annual Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) fees; CMAR fees compared to pre-select sub fees and bidding sub fees; bid components of CMAR; comparison of Bid and CMAR project delivery methods; a breakdown of the costs of construction, recent market adjustments, and savings; and, a comparison of Design-Bid-Build (DBB) and CMAR.
